A FLUID FEEL

Water Street, Edinburgh

Close to the Water of Leith sits a distinctive apartment block which was once like many in Leith, a bonded warehouse. This 2 bedroom Water Street apartment received the full Redpath renovation treatment with every part of the property getting attention with no surface left untouched. For the kitchen we turned to our German favourites, Nolte - using their bold Feel range in Platinum Grey (1 of 7 colours available) for the fronts and Dekton work surfaces. This combination dishes up an understated industrial look with a clean, uncluttered design complete with a soft-touch matte finish. Technology and reliability courtesy of Bosch for the appliances and a Quooker tap for convenience added to the list of premium products.

The unique natural grain found in the Oak Sepia of their Legno range provided the characterful cabinetry that extended into the dining and living area, with a seamless custom-made entertainment unit. There you’ll find plenty of storage and even a bespoke cabinet with power supply for a printer to keep everything tucked away. A small detail that functionally makes all the difference, much like the pocket door between the living area and the office, which is also a spare bedroom, adding privacy from an open plan space only when required.

In the hall you’ll find a beautiful timber and glass corner wall and door leading into the living areas and acoustic wall panelling from Acupanel which gives the space superb sound absorption levels. Handy as this also doubles as a utility room space with washer and drier.

Off the hall is the main bathroom plus there’s an ensuite in the master bedroom. We created 2 striking bathrooms influenced by the Swiss this time, using Laufen’s Space and Val collections. Utilising their cutting edge furniture designs and materials such as SaphirKeramik, paired with carefully selected wall and floor tiles.

As unique properties go, this one is definitely at the top of the list for being clever with making the most of space, like and texture. Stay tuned to the Redpath website as we reveal more about this project and watch the video below.
