TURNING ON THE STYLE WITH TERRAZZO
Mountcastle
This thorough refurbishment of a family bathroom came with three priorities to fulfil: fill the room with a sense of tranquillity; make it more durable; and create a space that’s easy to maintain. So, it was fully stripped out with the walls taken back to exposed brick to maximise the space on offer.
Terrazzo tiles were laid for a seamless finish, with the edges of each one polished up after cutting. A tall, oversized mirror was chosen to accentuate the high ceilings along with block paint features. A striking contrast was created between the black brassware and accessories, and the warmer pastel and terracotta tones. A steel bath completed the new look, with superb thermal efficiency as standard, for soaks that stay hotter for longer.
